Acer ships new high resolution tablet the Iconia Tab A700

Acer Iconia Tab A700 Tablet

High-resolution displays are all the rage. First, the new iPad came out with its highly touted retina display and Acer has moved pass the preorder stage and is now shipping their version of a high definition tablet the Iconia Tab A700.

The new iPad sports a hefty resolution of 2048 x 1536 on a 9.7 inch screen. While the A700, doesn’t out do the new iPad, it has a 1920 x 1200 resolution on a 10.1 inch display.

 
However, even though it doesn’t best the new iPad, the price comes in at $449.99 and can be had in black or silver.
 
Other things to consider when looking at this tablet, is that it is powered by the very fast 1.3 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core ARM processor. All this horsepower, makes this Iconia Tab several times faster than its Iconia predessors.
 
In addition, the tablet comes loaded with the latest Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich with 1GB of RAM and Micro USB 2.0, Micro HDMI and microSD slots. Last but not least, it can run up to 10.5 hours between charges.
