Asus Transformer Pad lines now go young, trendy and Infinity

In a case of major rebranding, Asus, the makers of the very popular Transformer Pad series are now on a rebranding spree, with the launch of two new series – Infinity and 300.

Making an announcement at MWC 2012, the company proposes to call all its tablets as Transformer Pads and also debuted two series – The Transformer Pad Infinity Series and a more trendier and fashionable Transformer Pad 300 series.
 
In its press release Asus describes it the Transformer Infinity series as – “The 4G LTE model comes armed with the powerful Qualcomm MSM 8960 Snapdragon S4 Krait Dual-core 1.5Gh processor and is capable of download and upload speeds of up to 100Mbps and 50Mbps respectively.”
 
The Asus Transformer Pads are very popular tablets, known for comfortable user experience, great hardware specs and wide-ranging function features.
 
The new series, especially the Infinity series is expected to be one of the first 4G tablet and will likely have a 1920 X 1200 Full HD Super IPS display expected scale 600 nits. The latter features are expected to lure entertainment consumption fans as audio-video are optimized on this series as they include the SonicMaster technology.
 
This model is likely to follow its predecessor Transformer Pad Prime in terms of design and thickness of (8.5mm) along with a metallic finish.
 
The second series, the Transformer Pad 300 series is “targeted at the young and trendy, tech-savvy set who are looking for more individuality, value, and performance in their tablet,” says the press release and will come in blue, white as well as red colors. This will most likely be the first tablet with 4G LTE/3G/Wi-Fi running on a quad-core processor (Nvidia Tegra 3) and Android 4.0 OS as well as the SonicMaster Technology unique to Asus.
