DC Comics coming to Nook Tablet and Nook Color devices

DC Comics comes to Nook

Owners of Barnes & Noble devices will now be able to get some light reading in. The Nook Color and Nook Tablet in addition to any Android tablets that have the Nook app will now be able to read comic books published by DC Entertainment.

DC Entertainment publishes popular comics such as Superman, Batman, Sandman and much more. The sum total of available comics/graphic novels for Nook devices will number in the 100s.

Jim Hilt, Vice President, eBooks for Barnes & Noble stated that “Barnes & Noble is committed to offering NOOK customers a wide selection of digital graphic novels, and we’re excited to offer DC Entertainment’s fan-favorite collections on NOOK”.

In addition to the comic books and graphic novels, according to their press release, Barnes & Noble also added what they are calling a Zoom View which allows users to focus on individual panels. The hope is that this will increase the reading experience by enjoying the artwork in all of its detail.

Hilt went on to say that “The new Zoom View feature makes the reading experience even more interactive, and takes these graphic novels to a whole new level of entertainment.”

More titles are expected to be added every month and can be purchased on line at nook.com/dccomics. Or, can be purchased directly on the mobile device via the Nook Android app.
