Apple Inc, typically, let the hype around the launch of its new iPad build to go into frenzy – waiting fans, watching industry experts and all. While the new tablet has been met with a mixed response, it is under the scanner as yet!
And Apple Inc, did unveil its latest and youngest tablet member in the now signature line-up of a unique and engaging form factor that Steve Jobs and Apple Inc, should be credited to have pioneered.
Given the intense promo on the invites to the launch at the San Francisco event, the ‘And touch’ had really triggered expectations of an iPad 3 or an iPad HD.
While the immediate reaction to the device, including its name is of disappointment as it merely looks like a routine revving up to the next level. There is not much to speak about for the new iPad, in terms of exciting new features like the VA on iPhone 4S, Siri. The retina display though new to the iPad series is a feature that was already available on the iPhone devices.
However, what it does have is the new camera ‘iSight’, and a faster processor, the new iPad really does not have much to talk about. The price however for the new ipad high-end model is nothing less than $629 and again disappoints fans as there were high expectations of Apple becoming a tad competitive considering the immense shenanigans happening in this intensely populated smart-device market segment.
In a sharp contrast, the iPad 2 launch lived up to its expectations, as the original iPad matured into becoming the defining product of this form factor.
