China’s Hanvon Technology Co. Ltd. plans to announce its line of consumer electronics products including the HPAD A112 eReader at CeBIT2011 in Hanover, Germany next month.
Looking like the successor of the HPad A116 shown at CES 2011 last month, the HPad A112 eBook reader is more than just that with Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and Bluetooth. The device runs on Android 2.2 and sports a 7 inch color touchscreen supporting a resolution of 800×600 pixels. The eReader is powered by a 720MHz ARM11 processor, includes 2GB internal storage and a microSD slot for memory expansion. There’s a 3mp rear facing camera and 1.3mp front facing camera for video chats and calls.
You also get HDMI out and USB ports on the HPad A112 eReader and a 3,300mAh battery that allows 8 hours of reading provided you don’t run media and browse a lot. The reader comes in 10.8mm thickness of magnesium alloy with a brushed stainless steel shell.
Hanvon has also added its signature handwriting recognition feature to the eReader. The HPad A112 eBook reader will be priced at €399 ($545).
