The app has two main features that are: Unblocker and Accelerator. Both of the features can be used simultaneously, or even separately. As soon as you launch the app for on first instance, it will display a list of all the available connections, and with the one you are connected to currently in a highlighted green color.
Take your mouse to the Wi-Fi tab on the left side to view detailed information about the connection which includes the total connection time and total data sent and received.
You can even access the Acceleration and Unblocker features by clicking on their respective tabs that is present on the left side. If you want to activate any of the two you will have to tick the checkbox beside them.
When the acceleration is activated instantly, then unblocker requires you to specify if you want to unblock media websites only that are blocked in your country/ region or also firewall entries.
You can even activate or deactivate any of the two features instantly by just clicking on “Hola’s” system tray icon.
By, right-clicking on the tray icon you can view the unblocker settings, start or stop acceleration, view statistics, mute sounds, or access the app’s settings.
The settings window present there, enables you to control over a few general options, Wi-Fi management and acceleration related settings. You can even choose whether Wi-Fi should be managed by Windows or Hola according to your choice.
Aside from the desktop client, Hola is also have extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox browsers, or even an Android app. The browser extensions only provide you with the ability to unblock restricted websites, currently the Android app only offer the acceleration option that is found in the PC client, but soon Hola website will even allow access to blocked websites in coming time.
