Though T-Mobile hasn’t given out the official launch date for the LG G-Slate or the Optimus Pad as it is otherwise called, G-Slate units and accessories have been arriving at T-Mobile stores across the US. It looks like April 20 – the day for T-Mobile’s press event will also be the product’s launch date.

The Honeycomb T-Mobile G-Slate is an 8.9inch tablet with Tegra 2 dual core processor, 32GB internal storage, 3D video capture capabilities, 3D screen that requires 3D glasses for viewing, HDMI out, front camera for video chats, rear stereoscopic 3D cameras with LED flash, DLNA support, HSDPA 10.1 Mbps, GSM, UMTS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Unboxing pictures reveal that the tab will come with a pair of red/blue 3D glasses apart from the usual charger and cables.
The 12.8mm thick T-Mobile G-Slate weighs around 630 grams. Apart from the G-Slate, we could also be seeing the T-Mobile G2X and Sidekick 4G on April 20. It’s going to be a big day for T-Mobile and LG.
Now, we know many of you have been watching out for this gem of a tablet from LG. T-Mobile will collect $529.99 for the device after a $100 mail-in-rebate and a two-year contract. Just 2 more days to go.
