Three Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 models to be launched in the US on July 7th; price list revealed

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1

There has been an incessant amount of speculation regarding Samsung’s next generation of Galaxy Tabs – the Galaxy Tab 3 7 inch, 8 inch, and 10 inch variants.

A lot of it was laid earlier to rest earlier this month when Samsung finally caved in and made an official announcement about the Galaxy Tab 3 family.

Now, further (and final) details have started coming in about the 3 variants of the new tablet range, with a launch date for the US pegged to be on the 7th of July, and pricing details about them have emerged as well.

The new set of Samsung Galaxy Tab 3’s were expected to be released sometime this week, according to most rumors, but the release seems to have been pushed back by a couple of weeks to July 7. What hasn’t changed though is that the expected prices for the three Tab 3 variants seemed to be fairly spot on.

The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is going to be sold at a price of $199, giving it the early mover advantage in the budget tablet sector which is expected to be dominated by the soon to be launched Nexus 7 2.

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 seems to be a budget alternative to the iPad Mini and Samsung’s own Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet, as it is priced at $299.

Finally, the biggest tablet of the lot, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, is priced at $399, keeping it on the cheaper end of the full sized tablet market in general.

In general, these three new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablets may not have a clear cut objective or target market, but they fall perfectly in line with Samsung’s scorched earth policy when it comes to hardware releases.

Release ID: 77
